Firefighters rescued a woman from a burning block of flats in Feltham last night.

Crews battled the blaze for two hours in Bedfont Lane at 8pm.

The woman was led to safety down a ladder and treated for smoke inhalation.

Around 30 firefighters and six fire engines from Feltham, Heathrow, Hayes and Heston attended the incident.

The Brigade was called at 2014 and the fire was under control by 2216. The cause of the blaze is being investigated.
